Sygen Pharmaceutical Ltd, appointed the Guerilla team to create a new global brand strategy and visual identity. Sygen, headquartered in Lagos with its manufacturing facility in Ogun State, Nigeria, is one of Africa’s fastest growing pharmaceutical companies focused on enriching lives of the communities that they operate within. The decision to appoint and award the contract came after the Sygen team had closely reviewed potential agency partners from around the globe who had experience in Healthcare & Pharmacy branding and marketing.

Interesting Challenge

During the inception and research stages of the branding process, we understood that Sygen were looking for a creative brand strategy that would catapult them far beyond the typical conservative branding that you often see in the Pharmacy sector. The team had to thoroughly research and understand the cultures of Sygen, the Country of Nigeria and the African continent. After several zoom calls and brand workshops we had created the framework to establish a truly distinctive and powerful brand.

We have a different approach to branding, and we needed to in order to deliver a unique and distinctive brand for Sygen. With the project well underway we created a hybrid overarching brand strategy structure for the Sygen group including subsidiary companies and brand touch points created across all media including a new website, and product packaging. Once the brand was created the team then developed an internal and external communications strategy to allow Sygen to scale up.
