As Flymo enters their 55th year of industry-leading innovation and expertise, the creation and implementation of a robust year-long campaign strategy were needed to achieve their ambitious objectives, driving brand and product awareness, growth and sales, with seamless customer experience at its heart. The challenge was ensuring that a millennial audience would perceive ‘​55 years’​ as a symbol of credibility, not a symbol of ‘old age’.

To truly differentiate the Flymo brand, we designed and built a series of engaging online brand stores for some of the UK’s leading retailers. Accompanied by inspirational in-store staff training packs to encourage internal buy-in. We created disruptive exhibition stands for the trendy trade shows like the Ideal Home Show, inclusive with retro ‘Best of British’ merchandise and the latest garden inspo. Helping the brand to step out of the world of pure ‘garden care’ and into a world of lifestyle and fun. Flymo oozed 55 years of innovation, fun and freshness. Combined with a suite of engaging social media assets that share useful life skills rather than shouting about pointless product facts. At every opportunity, we made Flymo ​‘relevant’.

We helped Flymo succeed in becoming relevant to a millennial lifestyle. ​Goodbye old lawnmower. Hello life-choice!​ After deploying the campaign, in Q2 alone we saw some phenomenal results. Since the launch of our retailer specific brand stores and buying guides, we saw +85% increase in online sales of the 1200 R robotic lawnmower. Our retailer email campaign also skyrocketed and was dubbed a gold standard benchmark for brands to follow, both in the garden care category and beyond.
