I started my time at Guerilla as a Creative Artworker, brought in to support the Studio Manager develop our packaging offering as one of our clients had recently made the decision to develop their own range of pharmaceutical products.
I came to Guerilla from a packaging background. During my time working in print, I developed an in depth knowledge of cardboard packaging including the conceptual stage of creating the physical pack, the manufacturing processes, artwork creation and creative print methods. I understood the limitations and reality of producing packaging for the consumer market.
Working with the Studio Manager, we began creating the artwork for a wide range of packaging including personal care, health products, vitamins and minerals and diagnostic tools. This stretched across boxes, pouches, tubes, tins, backing cards, display boxes, dispenser, etc. This opened my eyes to the world of packaging, I brought my enthusiasm for packaging to a team who taught me everything they knew about the aspects of packaging that were new to me.
Over the last couple of years and 100’s of packaging projects later, I am now the Studio Manager at Guerilla, I find myself teaching a team of enthusiastic designers about all aspects of packaging. We work across an array of countries in Europe including the UK. This produces a host of challenges due to varying legal requirements, different target audiences and global production variations.
Watch this space for a more in depth look into the packaging that Guerilla has produced for both the UK and European market.
