The North of Tyne Combined Authority is earmarking £12m to invigorate the digital sector across Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Northumberland. This initiative aims to generate 600 jobs, safeguard an additional 140, and extend support to over 500 enterprises and 450 residents. It encapsulates the Combined Authority’s vision for the region to emerge as a nexus for inclusive innovation and cutting-edge research and development.
A pivotal component is the Digital Cluster North of Tyne Programme, steered by the Innovation SuperNetwork in collaboration with the Academic Health Science Network and Dynamo North East. Scheduled to run until June 2024, it will bolster NTCA-based enterprises in crafting innovative digital offerings.
In September, SuperNetwork entrusted us with the creation and management of a PPC strategy, aiming to amplify awareness about the cluster’s benefits and its potential to augment the regional economy. The overarching goal is to cultivate a cohesive community of businesses specialising in key digital sub-sectors, including FinTech, Net Zero Tech, Data & AI, Edtech, Cyber Security, and Health Tech. We eagerly await the campaign’s launch in early October.
